Position Summary | The American Museum of Natural History is seeking a Sr. Development Coordinator, Principal Gifts. They report directly to the Chief Development Officer and supports the Chief Development Officer in cultivating, soliciting and stewarding Trustees and other principal gifts donors and prospects, helping to deepen donor engagement in the life of the Museum and facilitate new and increased gifts. This position specifically supports the development and execution of an annual, high-touch personalized program for individual donors, potentially including meetings and visits with Museum leadership, scientists, educators and exhibition specialists; formal/informal written correspondence; event invitations; gifts and more. The Sr. Development Coordinator will immerse themself in the work of the Museum and its funder community, and partner with colleagues across the institution to identify and carry out unique opportunities for donor engagement. This is an opportunity for a creative and highly organized problem solver, with a meticulous attention to detail and extraordinary writing and interpersonal skills, to be an important part of a very busy Museum fundraising program. This role requires a strong work ethic, excellent judgment and discretion and the ability to balance and prioritize multiple, often-shifting projects at once. Additionally, the ability to effectively work with individuals at every level of an organization, both internally and externally, is necessary. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The expected salary range for the Sr. Development Coordinator, Principal Gifts is $55,000/annual – $62,000/annual. This position is overtime eligible and the AMNH offers an extensive benefits package designed to meet the needs of our dedicated and diverse community. Pay will be determined based on several factors. The hiring range for the position at commencement is based on the type of work and the scope of responsibilities. The salary and placement offered is based on a number of individualized factors, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, education, credentials, areas of specialization and depth and scope of experience. |
