Administrative Assistant - 13000351The ECTP2 Program in Brooklyn, NY is looking for an Administrative Assistant who will perform normal office functions such as setting up and maintaining files/file structure; receiving calls and making proper referrals; arranging meetings and conference rooms; and receiving, referring, or answering mail. This candidate will use various PC software packages such as spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, etc. to produce high quality reports, presentations, or other documents and contact company personnel at all organizational levels to gather information for reports. The resource will directly interface with the customer to perform office functions as well as Northrop Grumman intra-company organizations. The resource will answer questions relating to office operations, establish policies and procedures and recommend new office procedures or techniques to improve system's effectiveness. The resource will gather, compile and report on employee activity, attendance and vacation requests and take and transcribe dictation / meeting minutes. The resource will also be responsible for coordinating on/off boarding activities for employees, completing travel documentation / expense reports and coordinating company events. Candidate must be able to generate reports, presentations, spreadsheets, charts.
Basic Qualifications: High School and 4 years experience
Applicant must have advanced expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft Outlook
Ability to interface with high-level internal and external contacts
Ability to work on multiple and competing priorities
Highly organized and deadline oriented
Must be a self starter and able to effectively address challenging issues and overcome obstacles.
Preferred Qualifications: Associates degree and 5 years experience
Prior executive administrative assistant experience
Experience with Public Safety personnel
