Ideal candidate must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language. Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and days off. Must be able to report to work on a regular and timely basis. Ability to tolerate dust, jet fumes and a high noise level. Ability to work without direct supervision.
Minimum Age: 18
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Customer service experience preferred
License: Valid driver's license including commercial certification (CDL); some states may require an additional chauffer certification. Current Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) medical certificate is required.
Citizenship: Must possess the legal right to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements: Sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to assist handicapped passengers on and off the vehicle. Ability to open heavy passenger bus door. Tag carry on baggage. Ability to distinguish colors red, green, and yellow. It is mandatory that our Bus Drivers maintain a clean DMV driving record.
Employment Requirements: Federal law requires American Eagle to determine an applicant's history of Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and/or alcohol violation(s) or refusal(s) to test before hiring him/her into a safety-sensitive position. This position may be subject to DOT testing. If applicable to the position, a candidate must fulfill a fingerprint-based criminal background check to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA). Candidates must also be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US customs security badges, if applicable.
