Job Description   Job Title: Class A CDL Shuttle Driver Department: Vernon Culture Cooler Location: Vernon, NY Supervisor: Cooler Manager Wage : $16.71 per hour Job Function: Class A CDL driver who safely operates Class A company equipment performing delivery and/or pick up of HP Hood LLC products to and from Hood, Oneida; Hood Vernon and NYS Thruway Compound and other locations following all DOT regulations and company fleet safety policies and procedures.  Job Responsibilities:   Safe Driving and delivery functions at assigned locations. Back haul of products and materials. Maintain positive customer relations Maintain a professional and clean truck, both inside and outside. Maintain all log and trip records according to company policy and DOTguideline. Acknowledgement and follow through on maintenance needs for all assignedvehicles. Attendance required at company and sponsored training sessions and meetings. Job Qualifications: Education, Prior Work Experience/Specialized Skills and Knowledge: Must be able to safely operate company forklifts and Class A equipment.  CDL Class A must be maintained.  High school graduate preferred.  Must be able to read and write English legibly, and communicate verbally in the English language.  Must be able to perform accurate math computations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.  Ability to sit/drive for a duration of several hours.  Ability to climb into and out of company vehicles assigned.  Ability to safely navigate within areas encountered while performing duties of position.    Physical and Environment/Working Conditions: Ability to lift and/or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk. The employee is also regularly required to drive various company owned or operated commercial vehicles. The employee is often required to use hands to handle or feel objects, stand, kneel or crouch.
