Title:Content Producer
Description

The Content Producer serves as the hub in the content production, publishing and asset management process, working closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver against the project plan. This person is dedicated to content production for a specific curriculum, with detailed knowledge of the pedagogy and system capabilities.

Responsibilities of the Content Producer:

  • Maintain communication among cross-functional teams (curriculum, design, technology, project management, product management) to ensure alignment of vision and implementation
  • Own the process for creating, enforcing and managing the content production plan
  • Collaborate with all departments to define and manage goals, scope, specific deliverables and scheduling needs
  • Aggregate and distill input from all areas of the organization and develop the best approach for incorporating feedback into project executions
  • Contribute to strategic thinking around content models that adapt, scale and expand over time and distribution platforms
  • Modify and enhance curriculum to integrate and exemplify available technology and design
  • Assemble, organize, author into the content management system, review and publish the content to tablets
  • Direct and train a team of assistant content producers to author and track content
  • Implement ongoing improvements to workflow and production pathways
  • Facilitate aggressive timelines and proactively address bottlenecks
  • Ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely production of all project elements
  • Manage the continued development and maintenance of the projects


Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience with digital media production, content management systems, publishing and asset management
  • Experience with full project lifecycles, from concept to delivery
  • Experience working in education, with curriculum design and lesson plans


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of CSS, HTML and XML
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • Experience with tablet content strategy, production and development
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organization skills; creativity and objective-oriented focus
