Position Description

Field Engineer 1 - 12018508

Provide Engineering support to resolve system level problems reported by the customer on delivered hardware. Must be able to interact with customers and coordinate engineering efforts within the company to identify solutions to customer reported problems. Will be required to lead upgrade efforts on assigned systems. Travel to customer locations for the installation and repair of complex Electronic Warfare Simulation systems. Must be able to write reports for both Customer and internal management. Must be willing to travel extensively and world wide.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Technology or similar technical degree. Two years' experience in the operation and maintenance of complex radar or electronic warfare systems or complex commercial digital and RF equipment. Experience with Electronic Warfare simulators is desired. Knowledge of digital and RF test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power meters. Individuals hired must meet the US Government eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customers organization.

Background and understanding of RF, digital circuitry, computer networking and file structures. Must have experience with test equipment such as, but not limited to Power Meters, Spectrum Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes.

Individuals hired must meet the US Government eligibility requirements for access to Secret classified information with the ability to get a Top Secret clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus experience in an electronic technical position. Military training and experience a plus. Background and understanding of RF, digital circuitry, computer networking and file structures. Must have experience with test equipment such as, but not limited to VNA or PNA's, Power Meters, Spectrum Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes.

Individuals hired must meet the US Government eligibility requirements for access to Top Secret classified information.
