Job Summary and Mission
Assist with tracking and set-up of import shipments and clerical coordination for brokerage accounts ensuring accurate documentation receipt and timely clearance of incoming shipments. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Receive, review, and process import documentation from electronic and manual sources for brokerage accounts.
Trace key transaction information such as HBL, commercial invoice, and other required documents to determine if record is available.
Index and create tracking files to initiate customs clearance process once documents are received.
Route created tracking files to customs brokerage work flow process to insure timely processing.
Monitor transactions and notify supervisory personnel of any problems or irregularities.
Provide excellent and timely customer service by informing the internal and external clients on status of documents required and other relevant information for customs clearance.
Assist in coordination and communication of customs release to carrier, internal or external customer.
Summary of Experience and Education
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Less than one year related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web based and job specific software applications.
Accurate typing and/or data entry skills.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
