Position Description

Industrial Security Analyst 4 - 12018157

The Northrop Grumman Security Team is looking for motivated team players to join their diverse growing security organization.

The Industrial Security Analyst will be the lead security person, Facility Security Officer (FSO), for the Bethpage, NY campus and will be responsible for all daily security operations to include information systems.

The position is responsible for cost, schedule, technical performance and all aspects of program performance. The position will administer security programs and procedures, participate in the implementation of federal security regulations that apply to company operations, obtain rulings, interpretations and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies and prepare or implement current manuals outlining regulations and establish procedures for storing, handling, recording and granting personnel and visitor's access to restricted records and materials. The position will also conduct security education, security audits, and investigations documenting findings and corrective action plans. The position will also coordinate the Business Resumption Plan, is the site POC in coordination of Emergency Response and Crisis Management activities, and COMSEC custodian responsible for all COMSEC material and procedure implementation.

This position will also be the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) for all classified Information systems. The ISSM will be responsible for supporting the design, development, evaluation, and accreditation of information systems ranging from standalone systems to distributed DoD and interconnected (WAN/LAN) computer systems. Responsibilities include developing system security policy and plans, secure network architectures, requirements, operational concepts, and security accreditation plans and procedures.

The selected candidate will configure information systems, prepare System Security Plans to be submitted for approval, perform security reviews and inspections of classified computer systems and networks, complete security incident investigations and cleanup, guide and train the Information System Security Officers (ISSOs) and system administrators on the current system security requirements.

The individual must have experience accrediting systems under the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM); knowledge of the DoD Information Assurance 8500.2 standards as implemented under Department of Defense Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP) is also desired.

Basic Qualifications: Typical Minimum Education / Experience: </b>10 Years with Bachelors; 8 Years with Masters. *In lieu of BS Degree the candidate must have 10-15 years of equivalent experience and background related to Industrial and Information Security to be considered.

Required Skills: An active Interim Secret Clearance is required prior to commencing employment. US Citizenship is required.

The successful candidate must have in-depth knowledge of & demonstrated experience in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), as well as other national level security directives. An understanding of advanced technology security integration processes and a complete understanding of DoD security requirements are required.

The successful candidate will test and implement state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products. The position conducts risk assessment and provides recommendations for application design and will be involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. The position uses encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research. This position may prepare security reports to regulatory agencies.

Candidate must be able to work closely with government personnel, security counterparts, program directors, and executives within other defense industry partners to ensure successful execution of program activity.

The successful candidate must be customer and team oriented, possess strong people-leadership skills, and be able to function with no supervision. Excellent verbal and written communications skills required. Minimal travel is required.
