Conestoga-Rovers & Associates has an opening in our Buffalo, New York Office for a Junior Automation Engineer, who aspires to become an active employee in a vibrant, well-established company.

Responsibilities include

  • Cost estimation and proposal development
  • Project management and scope development
  • Electrical design of industrial automation and control systems
  • Specify field instrumentation and devices
  • Develop drawing packages and detailed technical documentation with specifications
  • Specify, design, author, and field integrate automation and process control software
  • Coordination and assistance with system checkout & startup
  • Train end-users and maintenance personnel
  • Travel required for out-of-town projects
Requirements
  • 0-2 years of automation & control systems experience in an industrial setting
  • Bachelors' degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Engineering Discipline
  • Proficiency in Industrial Communications, Control Panel Design and PLC/DCS/SCADA software systems design experience and proficiency in Allen-Bradley/Modicon automation platforms are a plus
  • Previous Chemical/Petroleum industry experience is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written technical communication skills
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) and/or EIT preferred
