Job Responsibilities, Qualifications, and Hours:
This job is classified under the 'Skilled Labor II' rate. The hours/shift for this position will be determined. Working hours and days off are subject to change based on Plant and Department needs.
The qualified candidate should have formal knowledge in microbiology, chemistry and computers and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, computing formulation and standardization of dairy products. Perform chemical, bacteriological and organoleptic testing of raw, in-process and finished products. Alert management when products are out of specification and accepting special tasks as assigned.
The position may include overtime and flexibility in scheduling, which will require an obligation from the person to fulfill. The employee will be expected to carry out all additional duties assigned by a supervisor or foreman. Also, the employee must be licensed by New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets to perform the required test, which may include annual proficiency tests.
