Qualified candidates must meet the following minimum criteria. Possess a bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), or meet institution's academic qualifications and other requirements for instructor positions. Possess thorough knowledge of Army. Be or have been a commissioned officer. Have knowledge and experience of military training and field training evaluation. Possess skills gained form successful platoon or company command or equivalent. Current military experience (within 5 years of initial hiring.) At least 6 years TIS for permanent position. At least 4 years (6 years preferred) TIS for temporary position. Honorable discharge or retired. Discharge cannot be result of show cause board. Computer literate. Able to teach effectively. Demonstrated instructor ability in field training exercises, and able to live/instruct in field environment for extended periods. Meet Army Ht/Wt standards IAW AR 600-9. Pass the Army APFT within 90 days of hiring date and twice yearly in accordance with cadre scheduled testing. Pass random and periodic drug screening tests.
