Our Elliott-Nielsen business in Binghamton, NY is adding a Quality Manager to their team. Reporting to the Operations Leader, this position significantly contributes to lead and continuously improve the quality assurance program Elliott- Nielsen as it relates to suppliers, customers and internal processes. The Quality Assurance Manager will ensure successful registration and subsequent compliance to ISO-9001/TS-16949, AS 9100, ISO 14001 and AIAG Quality system requirements.



Required Skills
  • Implement quality management strategy and plan utilizing a solid, functional quality toolbox to apply and train others; at a minimum:
  • Corrective/Preventive Action (8D, 5P, etc.), Problem Solving and Root Cause Analysis (Pareto, Fishbone-Ishikawa, Force Field, 5-Why, etc.)
  • Must lead the company on Scrap Initiatives, NMR/RMA dispositions and resolutions as well as proper handoff to CPAR teams for repeat issues.
    • Statistical Process Controls/Analysis- Capability Studies, Control Charts, Pareto Analysis, Gage R&R, Probability/Reliability, CPK, CP, PPK, DOE (Design of Experiments), Sampling Plans etc.
    • Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings including GD&T. Must be able to design inspection processes around key/critical features.
    • Thorough Knowledge of PPAP Functions. Including, FMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, MSA, GRR, as well a functional understanding of all the 21 elements of PPAP.
    • APQP- Advanced Production Quality Planning- including experience throughout the entire supply cycle from Supplier to Operations to Customer, providing feedback loop.
  • Quality Auditing- Internal Auditing to a QMS as well as compliance to a Standard (ISO, TS, AS).
    • Lead Auditor Qualified (Certified- Preferred)
    • Must be able to manage an internal audit schedule and reportable to management for corrective actions and needed improvements in the QMS.
    • Must be able to properly train and guide others in the Internal Audit process as Internal Auditors as well as Process owners.


Required Experience
  • * BS in engineering, quality or related discipline
  • * Minimum 5 years in a relevant role or 10 years of relative experience
  • * Minimum 3 years in a industrial manufacturing management role
  • * ASQ certifications preferred: CQM, CQE, CQA, CSSBB
