Job Description:

Job Summary

Responsible for all tasks associated with the entry and maintenance of equipment files using the computerized maintenance management system. Maintain electronic and hard copy records.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety Quality Identity Potency Purity (SQUIPP), regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other applicable Federal, state and local regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible for computerized maintenance management system, including all electronic entry and physical documents, relating to equipment. Ensure accurate and timely entry of all equipment information.

2. Initiate corrective and preventative maintenance work orders and distribute to appropriate areas.

3. Responsible for approval process for new and existing equipment.

4. Maintains equipment files, archives and retrieves records.

5. Generates, distributes, reconciles, and analyzes reports. Assist in the development of management reports regarding statistical process control.

6. Track the status and completion of all work orders.

7. Serves as subject matter expert for computerized maintenance management system.

8. May perform limited equipment maintenance activities.

9. Perform other related duties as necessary to support organizational, regional and departmental business and quality goals.

Perform a variety of routine support functions within the division Work independently to complete assignments and adheres to standard policies and procedures. Interact with all levels of staff.

Qualifications

Associates degree is preferred. Minimum one year related work experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Good math, verbal, and written communication skills. Considerable knowledge of computer office products, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications; proficient in MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, Access). Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision required. Meet milestones and deadlines appropriately. Must protect the confidentiality of sensitive information in the department.

Essential Functions/Physical Requirements

The duties are representative of the essential functions of the position. Physical requirements are those present in normal office environment conditions. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Ability to reach, bend, kneel, climb, push, pull and work in tight spaces. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Exposure levels are based on the essential functions as stated in this position description; however, in some instances, variances may occur due to the applicable nature of this position within a particular work site. Therefore, the work site may determine the exposure level to be greater than or less than the below stated level.

This position is an Exposure Determination 2 in view of the fact that the incumbent occasionally, on an unplanned basis, is required to work under conditions where the potential exists for the incumbent to make contact with blood or blood components and/or human body fluids or tissue samples as a result of splashes, spills, and/or needle sticks.
