| Description: | Legacy is currently searching for energetic and COMMITTED individuals for our Spring 2013 Internship Program. In addition to working with their respective department, students will be exposed to tobacco knowledge, current issues in public health and career development opportunities. The internship duration is January 2013 through May 2013. Interns are paid and are eligible to participate in the program for up to two semesters. The Development Intern will provide support for the New York City-based Development team to help with all facets of fundraising. Intern will assist with preparation for Young Professionals fundraising events, funding proposals, direct mail programs and gift acknowledgements. Intern will also help research and implement social media as means of expanding fundraising capacity and support team in other development/fundraising efforts as needed. This is an ideal position for a college student with strong organization and communication skills and prior experience and/or interest in nonprofit fundraising. |
| Qualifications: | Ideal candidates are current students pursuing their undergraduate degree. An interest in public health or tobacco control is a plus.
