Posting Summary | Psychologist will provide supervision meetings to support the doctoral and master's level students/staff facilitating the sibling support group at the Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center for the 2022-2023 school year The Douglass Developmental Disabilities Center holds support groups for siblings of individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities. This program helps many children with the challenging aspects of having a sibling with autism. Psychologist must understand family dynamics in the development of the program and implementation of the sibling group. The goal of the group is to educate the siblings and improve family dynamics which in turn can have lasting positive impact on family members. Graduate trainees will also receive training developed by an autism expert in the field. This improves the competency of the students as well as the stature of Rutgers in the community and beyond.
