Tectonic is currently seeking full-time Landscape Inspectors to work on upcoming construction installation projects on large park projects in the New York Metro area. This is an exciting opportunity to work on exciting and challenging public-sector projects and for professional growth and advancement!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Inspect, supervise, and control construction daily for overall site safety, permit compliance, and coordination with applicable agencies;
  • Inspect and coordinate installation work to ensure contractor adherence to technical requirements and overall project goals;
  • Conduct on site measurements, quantity tracking, and design work prior to and during construction installation activities;
  • Maintain required tracking records and installation reports;
  • Attend applicable job-site meetings as required to discuss progress;
  • Follow project safety protocol;
  • All related duties as required to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must posses a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or similar;
  • 3 years of landscape architecture and/or civil construction experience;
  • Basic understanding and ability to interpret written specifications, plans, and construction documents for work orders and build documents;
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, supervisors, and inspectors regarding specifications and qualification test results;
  • Strong attention to detail and specifications;
  • Reliable transportation required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the essential functions of this position, it is frequently necessary to:
  • Assume a stationary position,
  • Handle, inspect, and/or feel documents, materials and/or equipment relevant to the job;
  • Communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and clients using Company email and telephone systems;
  • Move around on the job-site, including ascending or descending on the landscape or on a ladder, and positioning oneself appropriately to access necessary testing materials and equipment, usually for prolonged periods of time,
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.,
  • Good visual skills, including focused depth perception, and
  • Regular daily operations of a motor-vehicle, which may require remaining stationary for extended periods of time.
Employees may also be required to undergo substance abuse testing in accordance with project requirements, US DOT Regulations, and/or Company policy. The employee may occasionally be required to operate a computer, as well as other related office machinery, such as calculators, printers, and copy machines.

PAY RANGE
Tectonic's goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitably across all positions Companywide. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate's work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.
Pay Range: $33.00 - $70.00 / hour
