PLI is searching for a multimedia professional to fill the role of Studio Technician (On-Call) (responsibilities and qualifications are described below). As a Studio Technician (On-Call), your primary duties will involve operating audio, visual, or other equipment within the studio. You will set up equipment and ensure that all devices, microphones, lighting, cameras, and other items are operating correctly. You will also make repairs, troubleshoot, or adjust equipment when necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Camera Operation:

  • Set up and operate a variety of cameras to capture high-quality footage. Adjust camera settings such as exposure, focus, and composition to achieve desired visual outcomes.

Technical director:

  • Switch between camera feeds, graphics, and other video inputs to create a polished and professional production.

Audio Technician:

  • Monitor and adjust audio levels to maintain clear and balanced sound quality. Ensure to place lavalier on speaker correctly.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Maintain effective and professional relationships within the Multimedia department and through the organization.
  • Teleprompter knowledge
  • Communicate effectively with Multimedia management.
  • Post-Production editing
  • Maintain and organize studio equipment. Perform routine equipment checks and assist in equipment setup and breakdown.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-3 years of production experience in entertainment, web, broadcast or cable television required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Video Production is a plus.
  • Proficiency is necessary in Microsoft Office & Adobe Creative Production Suite
  • Must have experience in corporate events.
  • Must be able to work responsibly on own, but also to interact professionally with a wide range of internal clients.
  • Switcher Experience a plus.
  • Audio experience a plus.
  • Must display a willingness to juggle multiple projects and calmly meet challenging deadlines.

COMPENSATION RANGE FOR THIS POSITION

$31 - $32 per hour

(Exact compensation offer may vary based on the candidate's job-related skills and work experience.)
