Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Waxer/Stripper.

In this role, the successful candidate Keep housekeeping cart clean and chemical bottles properly labeled. Perform housekeeping duties according to the procedure.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Transport of solid waste to designated locations transport of certain hazardous/universal wastes from designated hospital locations to the main hospital accumulation area
    • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
    • Keeps equipments clean and chemical bottles labeled.
    • Performs stripping / slower scrubbing, brushing duties according to the procedure.
    • Performs finish application according to the procedure.
    • Performs carpet care according to the procedure.
    • Pays special attention to corners edges baseboards and walls.
    • Performs job duties without direct supervision.
    • Informs supervisor of any potential problems or unsafe conditions.
    • Performs daily duties in safe manner, keeping patients needs first.
    • Contacts departments upon completion of assignments.
    • Performs housekeeping duties whenever called upon.
    • Remove and dispose of trash recycle material and biohazard waste.
    • Display a positive team effort.
    • General cleaning of hospital using some materials that may be corrosive flammable or toxic in their concentrated form

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to operate buffer, scrubber and shampoo machines.
Good working history
Ability to communicate in English is a must.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $21.58 - $24.20 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
