We seek a candidate with 5+ years prior experience but not limited to watch & jewelry specialty sales with knowledge of potential customers in the Mid-Atlantic region. The potential candidate must reside in New Jersey; Northern NJ is preferred. The territory will also require service in Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, and Maryland and visits to Ohio at least 4x a year. The emphasis is on NJ and PA. The Territory Manager will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with existing and new accounts to generate profitable and sustainable business-an ability to work with customers to develop long-term solid business coupled with solid negotiating and sales skills. It is important to note that territories are subject to change.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the account manager for independent accounts in the territory responsible for the sell-in and sell-thru aspects of the business
  • Prospecting for new business in those segments of the market which offer the most significant potential
  • Manage inventory, turn, and sell-thru's in maximizing sales potential in the territory
  • Deliver training as required and assist in merchandising
  • Deliver and replenish merchandise materials, ensuring proper product placements, maintenance, and brand compliance
  • Follow all guidelines and protocols for maintaining accounts and establishing new accounts
  • Regularly update account plans and objectives as appropriate to the sales potential of each customer and keep SVP of Sales informed of progress at each account
  • Maintain reporting guidelines as required by SVP of Sales to include account profiles for all assigned accounts
  • Interact with distribution and sales support within the organization
  • Act as liaison for customers with our credit department
  • At times, be required to collect payment
  • Driving, including overnight travel, as necessary to serve assigned accounts and territory
  • Keep adequately informed on all MGI products and services
  • Provide call itineraries / monthly schedule/manage expenses

Requirements:

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and SFA Applications
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Planning each sales call
  • High level of multi-tasking
  • Prospecting strategies
  • Strong presentation skillset for training
  • Highly developed selling, customer relations, and negotiation skills
  • Take charge attitude with teamwork and collaboration
  • Extremely flexible and able to adjust to changing business needs and responsibilities
  • Knowledge of customer's business
  • Excellent customer service skills
