About The Role

The Associate Director of Learning & Development will be responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive learning and development plan across North America. This is a key role that will focus on the growth and development of our people and provide an opportunity to build work from the ground up - partnering with leadership to set strategy and learning priorities, while also leading the full execution of work. You should possess strong strategic, operational and interpersonal skills that allow you to be confident in your presence and facilitation while also being a detail-oriented outcome driver. While this is a North America role, the role will be based in New York and will work in partnership with the New York leadership team, as well as the North America and Global leads of People Experience.This is a hybrid role in our New York office.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with Business leaders and People Team leaders to develop and implement a Learning & Development plan that aligns with Ogilvy's business goals and employee needs
  • In partnership with People Experience, develop a North America learning strategy with office specific programs that address gap areas
  • Design and facilitate virtual and in-person learning curriculum focused on career growth and skills-based learning
  • Manage the full execution of learning programs with an emphasis on content creation & facilitation
  • Responsible for program promotion and communications, tracking attendance and engagement, measurement of impact and willingness to adjust to meet the changing needs of the organization
  • Work with New York leadership to identify office-specific gaps and roll out need-based programs
  • Partner with external vendors to deliver training and growth programs for employees at levels
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in the Learning & Development space
  • Manage Learning & Development budget and vendor contracts
  • Partner with Ogilvy Global L&D community and WPP L&D community (including attending monthly meetings) to understand and share resources at hand across a matrixed organization
  • Lead other development practices within organization including but not limited to performance management best practices and trainings, manager development training and high potential or executive coaching

What You'll Need

  • 6-8 years of experience in Human Resources and/or Learning & Development field
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Experience creating and managing L&D programs at scale across a matrixed organization
  • Progressive and innovative attitude towards L&D with an ability to deliver programs in a hybrid environment
  • Passion to facilitate learning and partner with business leaders
  • Attention to detail and strong sense of organization while managing programs simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work proactively and autonomously
  • Strong understanding of the importance of company culture and the responsibility to help create, influence, and evolve it
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with people at all levels of the organization
  • Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range
$60,000$140,000 USD
