JOB SUMMARY

The Executive Director of Patient Support Solutions is a member of the Market Access and Patient Support Leadership Team responsible for growing business with new and existing clients by driving supporting solution development & design, brand strategy, and ensuring Syneos Health is a preferred partner.

They will manage operational and strategic projects to improve commercial launch excellence, support offerings, messaging and customer program support and delivery. They may oversee a small team of Business Leads that are responsible for client programs to ensure we deliver results aligned with an exceptional customer experience. They will collaborate with VP of Market Access and Patient Support, Business Development, Peers, internal Syneos Health colleagues, and customers to ensure current and future department success.

They will help shape marketplace belief in the integrated out-sourced model for Syneos solutions by supporting thought leadership, department solution strategy, new service offerings, new team launches, and cultivating business with our key accounts.

They will apply extensive and in-depth knowledge of the specialty and rare brand needs, healthcare marketplace, end-to-end patient support, market access/patient support landscape to guide program solution strategy, design, implementation, and future-state operations of programs by providing subject matter expertise. They will aggregate issues & opportunities from across internal operations and customer base to identify potential solutions to address operational and solution design. They may be asked to evaluate new service offerings including 3rd party partnerships or expansion into new global markets. They bridge the gap between business development, customer, and Syneos training & operations to ensure all solutions meet or exceed customer needs.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Help build and implement patient support solutions, and effective execution by:
    1. Exploring new potential patient support and market access solution offerings and partnerships
    2. Ensure solutions design allows for successful delivery of service level agreement requirements.
    3. Support business development, brand messaging, thought leadership, white paper development, and industry conference material as needed.
    4. Supporting new and existing business growth
    5. Boosting internal leadership and operational capabilities
  • Responsible to support department level process improvement needs which may include training, processes & procedure material development, and overseeing mgmt. and delivery against strategic initiatives.
  • Manage Business Leads across patient support and market access which may include, but not limited to, field reimbursement, patient education, and account management programs.
  • Provides consulting and leadership strategic oversight to commercial program launch management to ensure teams meet client program strategic vision.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements, laws, and guidelines that relate to commercial or regulatory programs to support client initiatives.
  • Support business development in final solution design and in the final stages of the selling process through successful implementation and launch.
  • Use Business Acumen to assist customers in development of strategic direction and implementation of tactical efforts for launch products, as well as inline products related to our solutions.
  • Help ensure value, efficiency, and operational excellence of customer programs.
  • Contribute to strategic and business planning for department including brand and review of program(s) by participating in planning and review activities at the client customer and internal division level.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Minimum of 10 years in a Pharmaceutical/Commercial Contract Industry
  • Minimum of 2 years people management experience including managing, launching or leading a commercial team with business planning and budget ownership responsibility
  • Experience with Patient Support Program in operations or marketing role including management of business planning, contracting, and budget ownership required
  • Ability to collaborate and lead cross functional teams
  • Experience with Omnichannel delivery

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $190K to $240K. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
