Position Summary:


We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Manager-Data & Analytics.

In this role, the successful candidate under the direction of the Director of Radiology Analytics, supports operational and financial reporting including the budgets for the NYU School of Medicine Department of Radiology. Is responsible for managing operational dashboards, departmental budgets, forecasts, financial reporting as well as special projects. This person will assist the Director of Analytics in the analysis and distribution of a variety of reports and analyses which are vital to decision making processes for Radiology Senior Leadership.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Works independently on multiple projects as needed and is able to prioritize projects to meet deadlines
    • Supports operational, financial, and revenue cycle analysis for the Department of Radiology
    • Serves as a resource to faculty/staff for issues regarding financial or operational analysis
    • Cross-collaborates with both internal as well as external teams to analyze large datasets using appropriate systems to identify opportunities for operational and revenue enhancement; assists in building new models and metrics; identify trends and develop work plans with management to address issues
    • Develops, implements, and refines tools/systems to provide critical financial/operational information and makes actionable recommendations on strategy
    • Mentors and develops direct reports, hiring, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation and building effective team dynamics
    • Designs and constructs creative Tableau dashboards and Tableau Prep workflows in collaboration with Radiology business units, who act as end-users of data and analyses
    • Creates/maintains complex SQL codes and stored procedures that feed and refresh the data models
    • Extracts data from the medical centers data warehouse via Oracle SQL Developer and HUE
    • Supports visualization and distribution process for analysis/ reports for both internal and external stakeholders
    • Possesses a highly developed process for error checking work to guarantee work is as error free as much as possible
    • Supports the Director of Analytics and Director of Finance in the annual budget process
    • Anticipates and communicates potential work-related roadblocks
    • Keeps up to date on all available data tools; recommends use of new tools with supporting use-case
    • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a --Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in epidemiology, geography, demography, population health or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a minimum 2-3 years experience in people management. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
--Strong time-management and prioritization skills; ability to work well under pressure and in teams. Experience working with key secondary data sources, e.g. NCHS vital statistics data, Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) data, American Community Survey/Census data, FBI Uniform Crime Reporting data. Familiar with the following programs: ArcGIS or QGIS; SAS; RStudio

Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
8-10 years of professional experience
8-10 years of SQL programming experience

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $97,589.96 - $162,649.75 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
