The Private Cloud Infrastructure team is seeking a skilled Senior Dell EMC Storage Technical Consultant to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Dell EMC Storage Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex Dell EMC storage solutions to meet the needs of our customers. Your primary focus will be on deploying, configuring, upgrading, managing and optimizing Dell EMC storage systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
Responsibilities
  • Designing and deploying Dell EMC storage solutions based on client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Installing, configuring, and testing Dell EMC storage hardware and software components.
  • Deploying and managing storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel.
  • Configuring and optimizing SAN Fabric infrastructure, utilizing technologies such as Cisco MDS or Brocade, to provide reliable, scalable, and high-performance connectivity.
  • Performing capacity planning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of Dell EMC storage systems.
  • Implementing data protection and disaster recovery solutions using Dell EMC SRDF-A, SRDF-S, SRDF-Metro, SRDF-STAR, RecoverPoint, snapshot, clone, and other technologies.
  • Facilitating block and file migrations between Dell EMC and non-Dell EMC environments while minimizing downtime and avoiding data loss.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate Dell EMC storage solutions into existing IT environments.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Documenting configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Staying up to date with the latest Dell EMC technologies and certifications to ensure expertise in the field.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role, specifically with Dell EMC storage systems.
  • Expert level knowledge of Dell EMC storage systems, including PowerMax, PowerStore, PowerVault, PowerScale and Unity.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing storage protocols such as NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel.
  • Expertise in deploying and managing Cisco and Brocade SAN fabric infrastructure.
  • Experience facilitating migrations between Dell EMC and non-Dell EMC storage platforms.
  • Familiarity with SRDF-S, SRDF-A, SRDF-Metro SRDF-STAR, RecoverPoint, snapshot and clone replication and data protection technologies.
  • Ability to work with both file and block storage configurations.
  • Exposure to storage solutions from vendors like Pure Storage and NetApp is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of server technologies such as Cisco UCS, Dell PowerEdge, and similar platforms.
  • Relevant certifications in Dell EMC storage solutions are highly preferred.
  • Exposure to Cisco UCS, Dell PowerEdge MX and other server technologies is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with storage vendors such as Pure Storage, NetApp, and others is beneficial.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V is helpful.
  • Experience with data migration tools such as Dobi, Robocopy, and Cirrus Data Systems is helpful.
The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings ("OTE") for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
