What You'll Do

Technical Document Specialist -6 Month Temporary - Full-time (Could have option to extend)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Documentation Specialist to join our team. The Documentation Specialist will be responsible for capturing technical and functional requirements, updating, and maintaining documentation as the system evolves through iterative development. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Collaborate and confer with stakeholders to document subject material and technical specifications
  • Capture technical and functional requirements for system redesign projects.
  • Update and maintain documentation, including technical and functional specifications, and process documentation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional development teams to gather information and ensure accuracy of documentation.
  • Work with software development and testing teams to ensure technical accuracy and completeness of documentation.
  • Research, analyze, and organize complex technical information into clear, concise, and readable documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop supporting material such as diagrams, graphs, and illustrations to enhance documentation.
  • Organize and maintain document repositories for easy access and reference.
  • Review and edit documentation for clarity, consistency, and compliance with company standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of documentation standards and processes.
What You Need

Level of Education

Bachelor's degree preferred

Prior Experience

1-4 years of full-time work experience directly related to developing technical and/or software product information

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong technical proficiency, including the ability to understand and translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise documentation.
  • Proficiency in document management tools and software.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Microsoft SharePoint 365 experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven analytical, problem solving and technical skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks (multi-task).
