Our Life and Safety division is currently seeking an Associate Software QA Analyst in our Roseville office.

The this role will be responsible for establishing quality assurance testing models and performing testing for analysis of applications, services, and user interfaces.

Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Working with SQL server management studio database to find defects

• Writing and executing complex SQL queries able to pull data for testing purposes

• Testing Stored Procedures

• Creating Test Cases, Test Plans based on requirements

• Performing functional, regression, smoke, integration, system testing for Web based application

• Documenting and track product defects encountered during the execution of test cases

• Working with development to resolve identified issues

• Bug fix verification

• Other duties as assigned

Education

• Either an Associate's degree in computer science, MIS, or a related field or a Programming. Certificate from a recognized institution is required

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, MIS, or a related field is preferred

• Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

Experience and Technical Skills

• Minimum one year experience in business operations with an emphasis on testing or process/procedural documentation required

• Strong/Advanced SQL and relational databases knowledge

• Good test case engineering skills

• Good understanding of SDLC

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Must be able to investigate an issue, isolate its probable cause, and provide a reliable method for reproducing the issue.

• Experience with Web based application testing

• API testing knowledge is plus

• Knowledge of bug tracking systems

• Familiarity with major operating systems (Windows, Unix)
