Summary

The Junior Solutions Architect provides pre-sales support of product offerings and solution designs in product area of focus in the five core technologies disciplines at ConvergeOne. This position must be able to assess customer needs and tailor customized solutions in partnership with Regional and National Presales engineers to fit business needs. The Junior Solutions Architect must be well versed in all market offerings in the identified area of expertise in order to fully meet customer expectations. The Junior Solutions Architect works closely with PreSales and the account team to ensure technical accuracy of the solution design during the entire lifecycle of the solution sale. An asset to the region, the Junior Solutions Architect will be not only support sales engineering but may also be involved in operations and delivery of large contracts, as needed. The capable candidate will have exposure to and hands-on training with numerous aspects of the Presales functions.

Essential Functions

• Peers with subject matter experts in solutions of product focus e.g. Cisco
• Assists with solutions consulting, technical, and sales support for account opportunities
• Analyzes customer needs, issues, and interests to formulate a strategy with Presales that will achieve business objectives
• Provides live demonstrations for customers and sales teams
• Develops and maintains technical competency for all core products of C1’s solutions for product area of focus
• Provides Customer facing presentations to stakeholders, users groups, and conferences as required
• Keeps current on industry changes, participates when possible in organizations directly involved with SME products and services, and continually works to improve sales techniques and sales knowledge
• Works independently and as a team member with field Presales, national account managers, major account support representatives, marketing, services, and purchasing to achieve company major business objectives
• Keeps advised on company policies, procedures, and objectives, clarifying them with a Manager when questions arise; is always prepared to accurately discuss these policies with our customers
• Works directly with key customer personnel to identify, establish, and communicate key performance indicators needed to meet customer requirements
• Assures tactical and strategic delivery of services to the enterprise in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner
• Creates, reviews and/or evaluates technical business scopes of work with Presales
• Works with clients to facilitate their understanding of best practices for a VoIP telephony solution
• Prepares technical designs using manufacturer design tools for product area of focus
• Assists field Presales with BoMs and scopes

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Helps with operations, project management, and the delivery of customer contracts in balance with other responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years technical or operational experience
• Formal education in Software Engineering, Networking and/or Telecommunication on a bachelor level or equivalent based on job experience
• Proficient at all Microsoft Office products; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint
• Strong experience in gathering and analyzing business drivers as it relates to designing solutions for product area of focus
• Excellent presentation skills
• Exceptional customer facing skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent relationship and collaboration skills
• CCNP certification, or demonstrable progress towards CCNP, or equivalent experience in product area of focus
• Subject matter expertise related to SIP, Virtualization and/or Cloud Services
• Client-first work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as a collaborator, taking direction from senior technologists
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous work assignments
• Ability to communicate with all levels in customers and partners, and bridge the gap between business users and information technology

Work Environment

Ability to handle multiple priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
