Job Description

The Clinical Education Specialist will support facilities in the region (Bronx) to impact quality outcomes, patient safety and support to improve teammate education and patient centered care.

They will assist in the development, review, revision, and roll out of clinical policies and procedures and/or education materials; including training and monitoring the implementation of clinical P&P in the facility.

Ascertain specific training needs in the region and implement a plan to address needs, which may include providing continuing education and in-services/materials to teammates and patients to improve knowledge base and meet regulatory and safety requirements, on a routine basis.

Some details about this position:

  • You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work Monday - Friday - evening/weekends as needed
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN), (LPN) or RD license in the state of practice
  • A desire to deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way. You know, the way you'd want your own care to be
  • Experience assessing, trouble shooting and making sound recommendations in stressful situations
  • Excellent communication skills to listen and communicate with patients and teammates
  • Must have at least 2-4 years of recent nephrology experience
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree
  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
  • Must have experience in teaching adult learning with demonstrated ability to communicate technical/medical information in lay terms
  • Current driver's license in state of residence and insurable driving record
