JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox News is seeking a iOS/tvOS developer to focus on ad technology efforts. As a iOS/tvOS developer, you will be a member of the Fox News app development team, and bring previous experience working with a variety of advertising platforms and technologies (display ads, contextual ads, SSAI for video, as well as and header bidding & ad performance measurement). The ideal candidate will have experience writing modular, reusable code in a manner that allows for rapid testing of ad providers, services, and performance. The candidate will work within the Fox News / Fox Business app development team and deliver solutions in parallel to ongoing app development process.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Architect & build solutions related to digital monetization within the Fox News & Fox Business mobile and OTT apps to order to optimize performance and monetization
• Work proactively to optimize & troubleshoot ad tech related issues within these apps
• Contribute code to the Fox News and Fox Business iOS, tvOS and watchOS projects
• Write idiomatic Swift code that is clean, readable and maintainable

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment
• 3+ years experience in iOS Development using Swift
• Portfolio of iOS apps in the App Store
• A deep understanding of mobile ad technologies and concepts (VAST, VMAP)
• Experience with the following SDKs:
  • Google Mobile Ads SDK
  • Google Interactive Media Ads SDK (IMA)
• Experience with header bidding solutions (Prebid.js, Amazon, Index)
• Strong knowledge of design patterns
• Experience with source control systems, specifically Git
• Experience with RESTful JSON feed consumption
• Experience with CocoaPods or Swift Package Manager
• Experience with tvOS and watchOS development is preferred, but not required
• Experience with the latest development paradigms regarding performance, security and coding best practices
• Experience developing reusable, modular iOS frameworks is preferred
• Familiarity with MVVM and Coordinators
• Good communication skills with different stakeholders such as QA, Project Managers and Product Owners
