The Pfizer Biopharmaceutical Group (Biopharma) is a global organization that operates in 160 countries, with a portfolio of more than 600 products generating approximately $40B in revenue annually. It encompasses six global businesses: Oncology, Inflammation & Immunology, Rare Disease, Vaccines, Internal Medicine, and Hospital; and includes a regional Emerging Markets group. The Manager, Colleague Communications & Engagement, will report to the Senior Director of Colleague Communications & Engagement and support in implementing coordinated colleague engagement and communication activities across all BUs. The Manager is responsible for support to the Biopharma Colleague & Engagement Team, in executing communications that shape the Biopharma Group’s culture and that enhance its ability to meet and exceed its business goals. This will include technical ownership for Biopharma communication channels and planning for all Biopharma communications and engagement activities.
The role encompasses:
Supporting Global Biopharma communications execution
Supporting the planning of all Global Biopharma communications
Supporting the measurement and effectiveness of Global Biopharma communications
The Manager’s primary goal is to support the Biopharma HR/Communications & Engagement team in delivering simple, effective communications and engagement which is aligned with business priorities, key strategies and initiatives across the Biopharma group.
Role Responsibilities
Work closely with Senior Director and Directors in Biopharma Colleague Communications & Engagement team to implement engagement and communications that advance business priorities including:
Support the management of the colleague communications and engagement plan for Biopharma.
Produce/ write and edit Biopharma communications content for Biopharma channels including town halls, videos, podcast and intranet sites.
Support the Biopharma colleagues communications and engagement team in the measurement of activities and their engagement effectiveness
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field preferred.
Health communications preferred; prefer pharmaceutical, financial services or other corporate and public affairs experience.
Capability Requirements:
5+ years of internal or external experience in a corporate environment or highly regulated industry.
Demonstrated experience in delivering communications strategies and plans and managing evolution and change in a complex global organization.
Strong, versatile writer and editor
Experience managing internal social media platforms (intranet and Yammer, or similar).
Must be a strong manager and analytical thinker:
Confident, direct counselor with strong listening and verbal communications skills.
Ability to collaborate and lead by influence.
Ability to navigate a large, global organization and create an effective network of colleagues across levels.
Energetic self-starter; self-directed, with impeccable attention to detail.
Quick thinker and ability to navigate ambiguity.
