What will I be doing?

As a Mobile Application Architect, you will be responsible for product architecture, design, and implementation of our consumer-facing mobile applications. You will be responsible for the technical guidance and direction to Developers, QA, DevOps, Product & Project Management for on and offshore teams. You will carry out various tasks to ensure that application software is effectively and efficiently designed, produced, tested and maintainable. You will leverage and define industry and IRI best practice standards to provide development patterns leveraged across the team.

Job Responsibilities

• Establish and provide architectural direction, and act as technical oversight on complex development projects
• Participate in the overall planning, execution, and success of the team by partnering with business partners, research, and other development teams in the organization
• Work closely with the business and product teams to define the product roadmap and drive innovation
• Provide leadership & mentoring to other team members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of development and architecture experience building consumer-facing mobile applications
• Hands-on experience with the development of iOS and Android native applications using tools such as Swift, Kotlin, Xamarin, etc
• Expert level in core software architecture and technologies
• Experience working in big data environments and developing data-driven, analytical applications preferred
• Understanding of data in the CPG/Retail industry is preferred
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server
• Experience with the Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies
• Knowledge of different phases of SDLC
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Experience managing and working with global distributes teams
