The Sr. Analyst FP&A will be responsible for financial analysis and management reporting, planning and forecasting and ad hoc analysis for General & Administration departments. Reporting and analysis will provide management with timely, accurate and relevant financial information and insights. Additional responsibilities include supporting activities under management of Sr. Manager FP&A
Responsibilities:
Support Administration budget managers including:
- Finance liaison for General & Admin depts. to build annual budgeting and quarterly Latest Estimates
- Independently liaise with business partners (heads of Legal, IT, HR etc.) to help them budget, forecast and analyze spend variances in their departments and develop associated risks, opportunities, and action plans
- Prepares, distributes, and presents timely and insightful financial reports used to determine progress against strategic plan, budgets, forecasts, and prior year and conduct one on one meetings
- Responsible for monthly accruals, account reconciliations and variance analysis for Admin depts
- Review contracts and POs to confirm appropriate approval, proper project coding and whether budgeted
- Independently complete quarterly analytics and Management's Discussion and Analysis in support of Pacira's Results of Operation
- System administration and projects including Robotics Process Automation (RPA) application to current processes & identify potential process improvements
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
- Support activities overseen by Sr. Mgr. FP&A Sales & Marketing including, supporting C-Suite and Board of Directors reporting of monthly and quarterly actuals, and forecast and annual and long-range plan budget processes
Interaction:
- This position works closely with Accounting/Finance/FP&A/AP and Procurement teams as well as senior and middle management, consultants and vendors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or closely related field from accredited college or university. CPA or MBA preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, financial planning/budgeting or related area, pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of US GAAP.
- Highly proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and financial reporting software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, business acumen and strategic thinking
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines.
