Job Description
Want to work on a new AWS service? Imagine if you could help shape the future of architecture, and go on a journey where few have tread before. The AWS Automated Architectural Guidance (AAG) team is building systems to help our customers build cloud native applications and adopt new ways of thinking about technology solutions. We are building information-rich products that use advanced tooling to deliver the right content and advice to customers as they build and operate their workloads on AWS. You will enjoy the opportunities in this role if you like internet scale content-rich solutions, managing innovation, and examining data.

We are looking for a talented TPM that loves diving deep into technology, makes the right architectural trade-offs, and unblocks their team by breaking down ambiguity into manageable work items. The successful candidate will drive all parts of the program management and software delivery life-cycle; including scoping, planning, examination, design, development, documentation, testing, launch, and operations. You must possess strong planning and organizational skills, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will be a self-starter and take pride in delivering high quality results in a fast paced environment.
Specifically, in this role you will be:
* Planning the release schedule for the AAG Tools
* Interacting with the Product Manager, Business Operations and other stakeholders to get requirements
* Working closely with the Software Development Manager to identify resourcing and planning sprints for the engineering team
* Working with developers on technical designs
* Working with other AWS service teams on technical integration delivery
* Managing the Kanban/Scrum board and project deliverables
* Communicating risks and issues to management
* Coordinating content creation and content management activities for AAG tools
In this role, you will also be a key part of the engineering for the AWS AAG tools.
You will need to contribute to design reviews and work with external dependencies to define interfaces and timelines.

* Hands-on experience with agile or other program management methodologies
* Proven experience in delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed and often ambiguous environment
* Experience researching and defining integrations between multiple systems
* Experience building processes, project management, and software development release schedules
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both technical and non-technical team members
* Ability to design scalable distributed systems
* Knowledge of service-oriented architectures, build processes, change control management and release models.
* Knowledge of service inter-dependencies that drive technical solutions for multi-tiered systems
* Experience in managing large scale enterprise projects and monitoring of operational metrics.
