GSK Consumer Healthcare continues to build Data and Analytics capabilities to drive innovation, decision making and enable agile transformation in delivering our business objectives. This is a great opportunity to join our Expert Operations team in Warren, NJ in the Advanced Analytics role. Your mission will be to provide analytical consultancy to enhance the performance of the US Expert Sales and Marketing organization by delivering impactful analytical insights and recommendations. You will use and develop your machine learning, statistical and analytical skills, along with your commercial acumen, to ensure the US Expert team is making optimal decisions based on a mix of rigorous analysis and directional insight. The types of analysis you may undertake include predictive modelling, impact and ROI analyses, time series forecasting, A/B testing, segmentation and targeting of customers, marketing mix modelling, sales force optimization and territory design.

As a key member of the US Expert Operations team, the Advanced Analytics role is accountable for providing insights to the US Expert business. The individual will work with multi-disciplinary teams to understand key questions around performance and ensure that analyses are translated into actionable business insights. This is a hands-on role and the successful candidate will be comfortable working in an agile environment and capable of providing insights at an accelerated pace.

  • Extract, collate and organize data for analysis
  • Influence the decisions taken by Expert leaders through robust and well interpreted analyses
  • Proactively identify opportunities where analytical insight may improve company performance

  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders within the US business, Global teams and offshore colleagues
  • Develop and deliver clear and concise presentations tailored to audiences of various backgrounds
  • Be passionate about and bring a sense of curiosity to data exploration, to proactively uncover new insights around brand and market performance
  • Partner with leaders in the analytics team and the commercial organization to understand key business challenges and questions which can be addressed using analytics
  • Identify and analyze data from disparate data sources to provide a comprehensive and unbiased point of view on performance supported by analytical insights
  • Use multiple data sources to model predictors of performance, leading all stages of model development from data collection, data quality control, model building, model validation, testing and calibration

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM, Data Science, or Computer Programming and 3+years in a relevant field (programming, statistics, data science) OR equivalent experience
  • Experience focused in analytics and performance tracking
  • Experience working with large datasets, presenting that data in meaningful ways and deriving actionable insights; presenting insights back to stakeholders
  • Experience with dashboard tools (Tableau, PowerBI, QlikView, RShiny)
  • English verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly present detailed analyses to non-analytical audiences
  • Experience in various data structures and common methods in data analytics, as well as:
    • Data management basics (SQL queries, database connections)
    • Data preparation (e.g. data cleaning including filtering and variable transformation)
    • Proficiency in programming language(s) such as SAS, SQL, Python or R

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • MBA or a Master's Degree in STEM, Data Science, or Computer Programming
  • Experience in ML algorithms/predictive modeling, NLP, impact/ROI assessments
  • Additional statistical tools or languages (R/Studio, Python/Pycharm/Jupyter)
  • Experience working on a cloud platform (e.g. Azure)
  • Experience in Azure Databricks
