Job Description

CafeMedia is looking for an Email Account Manager with client-facing experience to join our growing team. This position works closely with the email solutions team to provide our publishers with successful ongoing email growth and engagement strategy. This role will be hands-on working with our top publishers on a regular basis as their primary contact and strategist.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working with the VP, Publisher Solutions to create holistic email capture & engagement strategies for publishers
  • Executing, implementing and testing email capture and engagement strategies
  • Providing key analysis and recommendations via google analytics and ESPs for client email capture and growth, email series, triggers and automations
  • Daily use of email service platforms (Mailchimp, Convertkit)
  • Analyzing and providing recommendations on client email list health and segmentation strategy
  • Providing assistance and key recommendations for any deliverability issues that arise with key email providers
  • Working closely with publishers to provide recommendations and implement tactics to continue on-going deeper engagement with email subscribers

The skills and experience you’ll bring to the job:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years email strategy experience and ownership: have experience developing and/or managing strategic email initiatives either client-side or at an enterprise brand
  • Self-motivated
  • Client-facing - ability to navigate complex client needs and diverse personalities 
  • Ability to dive in and find answers to questions that may not yet be documented
  • Advanced mail strategy experience - developing and/or managing strategic email initiatives, either client-side or via an agency
  • Advanced understanding of email deliverability
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong project/time management skills
  • Deep understanding of the latest trends/challenges/capabilities in the email marketing space
  • Minimum of two years experience with mid to high volume email marketing campaigns

Additional preferred:

  • Previous agency experience
  • Marketing and copywriting experience
