You Will

  • Lead strategy for YouTube content and publishing, managing and socializing best practices to cross-department leads and stakeholders
  • Manage YouTube Analytics reporting and campaign performance
  • Lead YouTube video content adaptation strategy for Complex Networks brands on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, & TikTok
  • Identify and analyze content performance and work cross-functionally to proactively monitor performance of our content across the multi-platform landscape and utilize that information to inform future strategies
  • Manage and grow key partnerships with video and social platforms, and news aggregators to help maximize growth on all Complex Networks platforms
  • Partner with content production teams to identify and direct content opportunities, providing recommendations for new and emerging social video products
  • Has the foresight to anticipate issues in workflow or content performance and present possible actionable solutions. Able to think outside the day-to-day to find creative scalable solutions
  • Use knowledge of online video to present video content in the most shareable way, helping them to have the biggest reach and impact
  • Manage feedback between internal teams and platforms
  • Assist in driving innovative projects and initiatives in partnerships with stakeholders in editorial and product teams
  • Be the main Complex POC for YouTube platform partners and internal BuzzFeed Inc. counterparts
  • Lead reporting and insights across platforms to maximize audience growth, retention and monetization ensuring properties have maximum market share

You Have

  • 5+ years experience in publisher and entertainment marketing, brand or agency
  • Deep knowledge of YouTube platform best practices, ideally YouTube Certified
  • Strong understanding of how titling, thumbnails, and ongoing optimization can affect a video's performance
  • Enthusiasm for constant experimentation with content and strategy to optimize for essential metrics
  • Expert knowledge of the online video ecosystem, especially YouTube
  • Native YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok user
  • Robust knowledge of current events + pop culture + sports + music.
  • Possess a deep understanding and fluency of all social media platforms. (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok)
  • Extensive knowledge of internet culture and proven track record in driving audience and consumer action on social
  • Self-management skills + take charg
