The Role

We're looking for someone to join the growing newsletter team. You are comfortable pulling and analyzing data to inform strategy decisions, and have a natural inclination to learn. This is a hybrid role, sitting in the newsletter team, but liaising closely with affiliate and various internal constituents to pull reporting on direct, third-party, and affiliate-sold campaigns as well as weekly reporting to surface optimization and growth opportunities in the newsletter space to drive additional pageviews and / or affiliate earnings through the email channel.

You Will

  • Pull data reporting for direct sold, affiliate sold, and third-party distribution partner campaigns including providing proactive analysis to clients and / or sellers
  • Provide reporting and relevant recommendations on performance data for triggered and batch & blast campaigns with to increase click-throughs / transactions and pageviews
  • Own the reporting and asset insertion of any third-party sold campaigns for HuffPost and BuzzFeed brands
  • Learn about leveraging data to inform decision-making in commerce within the email space to better drive outcomes whilst being mindful of editorial standards
  • Work closely with editorial newsletter team members to provide data-driven advice and ingenuity to inform creative testing frameworks
  • Be comfortable working during traditional tentpole time periods including Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Winter Gifting Season, etc.

You Have

  • 1+ years experience in data reporting
  • Experience working in Excel, analyzing data, pulling data reporting, and leveraging data in editorial decision making as well as translation of data to actionable insights
  • Interest in consumer insights and / or consumer behavior at-large (what motivates someone to buy other than price)
  • Knowledge and experience turning presentations around on PowerPoint and Google Slides quickly
  • Experience and interest in newsletters / email is a major plus, but not necessary
