What you will accomplish together with us
Support the development of in-silico upstream bioprocess design and optimization tools, relying on mathematical modelling tools such as metabolic modelling, systems biology, hybrid modelling, process modelling
Contribute to the development and application of computational biology tools to deliver actionable insights out of multi-omics biological datasets (e.g. genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics) in the context of metabolic network landscape
Identify and evaluate new computational tools and workflows to facilitate large scale analysis of multi-dimensional biological datasets
Prepare material for scientific reports and presentations
Engage in scientific and technical decisions with project teams and stakeholders
What will convince us
Master or PhD degree in biological/chemical engineering, mathematics, computer science or related disciplines
Significant documented experience in systems biology and/or omics data analysis
Experience in model development and simulation, parameter estimation, model analysis and validation and model application for bioprocess optimization
Experience in systems biotechnology tools and metabolic modelling applied to the biopharmaceutical industry
Knowledge of constraint-based modelling, genome-scale metabolic model, gene regulatory network, CHO cells cultivation processes and culture in bioreactors are a plus
Knowledge of data science, statistical design of experiments and machine learning concepts are desired
Programming skills in scripting languages such as Python, R, PERL or Matlab
Conceptual and creative thinker with analytical excellence
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and with excellent communication skills
