Job Description
SUMMARY The Welder Combination classification will follow standard welding procedures and techniques to optimize Flux Cored Arc, Stick, MIG, TIG, and plasma welding processes on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and nickel materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Ability to pass ASME coupon tests and obtain ASME Certified Combination Welder
  • Ability to weld mig, tig, and stick
  • Ability to use Quality Assurance instruments
  • Ability to read blue prints
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to lift arms/hands over one's head
  • Manual Dexterity: The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp and assemble objects.
  • Arm-Hand Steadiness: The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
  • Finger Dexterity: The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
  • Near Vision: The ability to see details at close range
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to follow standardized processes.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Must be mechanically inclined.

English comprehension: Ability to read, write and communicate

Ability to handle light and average weight parts.

Ability to use hand and power tools.

Ability to listen and learn from instructions, cooperate and participate in the department's training program

Ability to work safely

Must be flexible with assignment changes needed to fulfill production needs

Must participate in "6S" daily

Ability to work both independently and as part of a group

Other duties as assigned
