Macmillan Publishing is seeking a VP/SVP Treasury & Insurance. This is a hybrid role with oversight for US treasury and cash management for all Holtzbrinck US entities as well as coordination of insurance lines for multiple division US entities (excl. employee benefits).

Primary responsibilities:

Treasury

-Oversight of day to day cash management processes and improvements: clearing; reconciliation of bank accounts, processing wires, communicate with departments involved, settle liquidity peaks with GRT, daily oversight of AP and AR processes

-Financing/liquidity planning/direct cash flow: prepare short term liquidity forecasts, oversee 12 months liquidity forecast, including variance analysis, monthly reporting of US cash performance to US CEO, US CFO and Head of Group Finance Germany

-FX strategy as well as additional oversight in compliance, security and bank services

Insurance

-Coordinate all insurance programs including information flow for all US entities (both HPG, Springer Nature and Digital Science), excl. employee benefits based on Global Group Finance direction

-Process local US insurance, including information flow (renewals, amendments, certificates, budgeting, premium payments, cost controls) through insurance broker

-Oversight in claims handling, compliance, risk manager as well as due diligence support for M&A activities

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in Treasury and Financial Management
  • Strong competency in financial modelling using MS Excel and SAP AO
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate insurance management (corporate or broker) strongly preferred
  • Sound competency in local and international property and casualty insurance lines
  • Experience in corporate risk management
  • Good communication skills
  • Leadership and project management experience
  • Experience with SAP strongly preferred

Salary range for this position: $140k-200k.
