The role reports to the Supply Chain Manager and is located in Westville, Oklahoma. As a Supply Chain Internship Spring, you will be responsible for the execution and documentation of materials inventory management activities such as in planning, ordering, scheduling, expediting, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels to meet the needs of manufacturing's production schedules. Will also be responsible for learning, documenting, and executing warehouse management processes and cost savings activities. Promotes and supports facility safety initiatives and efforts. Supports manufacturing schedules by executing all aspects of materials planning, ordering, scheduling and expediting such as planning inventory levels, placing orders, updating orders, resolving order issues, and scheduling transportation and delivery of respective materials/commodities. Supports manufacturing by learning and executing warehouse processes such as receiving, order picking, transaction auditing, cycle counting, etc. Produces documentation of the processes related to all aspects of materials planning and/or warehouse management. May manage stock transfers by checking orders/availability and coordinating with suppliers. Recommends production rescheduling when required. Works with respective suppliers to resolve quality and or delivery issues. Responsible for helping accomplish the facility's inventory management objectives through effective management of raw, WIP, buffer, and bulk inventories for respective materials/commodities. Performs root cause analysis and assistance to cycle counting activities to support facility inventory accuracy. May serve in a scheduling capacity by creating schedules or participating in production work center scheduling activities. Identifies cost savings opportunities and coordinates with responsible functions to achieve savings results. Assists as otherwise necessary in meeting all overall facility performance objectives.
