Personal Trainer – Pilates Reformer Per Diem
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Manager, Medical Fitness, the Personal Trainer is responsible for their clients physical assessments, exercise prescription, and motivation, as well as policy enforcement, record keeping, and delivering excellent customer service at all times to every client.
EDUCATION:
Specific certification in personal training required from an organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), including, but not limited to: ACSM, ACE, NASM, NSCA, NETA, ISFTA, AFAA. Bachelor’s degree in exercise science,
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in the administration of physical assessments and testing protocols, exercise prescription and exercise program design.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Basic computer operation and data input skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Ability to work variable hours as necessary. Must possess a professional attitude and demeanor. Capable of maintaining positive ongoing communications with clients and co-workers and clinical staff. BLS training certificate current.- Effective group process skills. Effective oral and written communication skills to express ideas clearly. Effective listening skills. Ability to pay attention to details, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure. Ability to function competently in stressful situations and the changing work environment related to changing client needs. Ability to work cooperatively with clients, family members, and multidisciplinary team members. Ability to utilize effective time management to set priorities, perform job related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations. Ability to use effective analytical and critical thinking skills to problem-solve.
