Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone is one of the nation’s premier centers of excellence in healthcare, biomedical research and medical education. At the Child Study Center (CSC), part of NYU Langone’s Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, our multidisciplinary team offers a wide range of behavioral and mental health services for children and their families in the New York and metropolitan area, including Long Island, New Jersey and Westchester County.
Position Overview:
The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Manhattan office, is seeking to hire a full-time psychologist focused on gender affirming care to join our established team of clinicians, and provide excellent care using evidenced based and targeted intervention treatment methods. This is a full-time position. Knowledge of underlying factors that contribute to mental health disorders in LGBTQ children and adolescents is required. As LGBTQ youth also often display mental health vulnerabilities, experience with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD and other Externalizing Disorders, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disorders, and other conditions is required. Applicants with interest and experience in minority stress, intersecting identities and systemic inequities impacting transgender youth and their communities are encouraged to apply. Candidate must be willing to conduct workshops and webinars (e.g., for parents/teachers).

· The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
Minimum Annual Salary: $111,351
Maximum Annual Salary: $116,000
