We are actively seeking BC/BE Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) Hospitalist candidates for NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island. The ideal physician is motivated with an interest in being part of an academically driven growing hospitalist team. We are seeking an individual who is skilled in obstetrical and gynecological emergencies, works well in a team environment, committed to providing quality compassionate care and is passionate about medical education.
NYU Langone Health, a world-class, patient-centered, academic medical center, is one of the nation’s premier centers for excellence in clinical care, medical education, and research. NYU Langone Hospital – Long Island has over 5,100 deliveries a year. There are 6 triage rooms, 16 labor and delivery rooms, and 3 operating rooms. Our Hospitalist division consists of 8 board-certified OB/GYN attendings. The Labor and Delivery unit is staffed with 2 in-house attendings, 24/7 available maternal-fetal medicine and gynecologic oncology service and a Level 3 NICU. We also support an ACGME-accredited 4-year OBGYN residency program of 24 residents and a one-year OBGYN Hospitalist fellowship to foster those interested in hospitalist medicine leadership roles. Our growing multi-disciplinary department also includes subspecialties such as minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, complex family planning, urogynecology, gynecologic oncology, and reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
The Hospitalist’s primary focus is comprehensive clinical care of high and low risk patients on the obstetrical and emergency gynecological services. They are responsible for inpatient coverage of obstetrical patients including triage evaluation, labor management of routine and complex deliveries, and management of postpartum patients. They also serve as gynecological consultants in the emergency department and inpatient settings. There are opportunities to be involved in quality improvement projects, hospital committee work, clinical research, and teaching and mentorship of trainees.
A full-time position entails twelve 12-hour shifts per month. Additional shifts will be compensated accordingly. NYU Langone Health offers a competitive salary and benefits package and a Chairperson nationally renowned for her work in medical education and mentoring of junior faculty.
Compensation: $300,000 – 335,000
The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.

· Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
· Successful completion of U.S. Accredited OB/GYN Residency Program
· 3 years experience preferred
