RN Hospital Operations Supervisor Contingent Nights (8 Hours)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Hospital Operations Supervisor is a Registered Nurse who assumes operational accountability for a specified shift. On a 24/7 basis, this individual shall have primary responsibility for human resource management, operational management , in the absence of the unit manger, as well as acting on behalf of the Hospital President in the absence of the Executive Staff and Department Directors and Managers. While on duty, the Hospital Operations Supervisor holds the ultimate responsibility for administrative and operational decision making. This is accomplished by demonstrating knowledge of appropriate resource utilization and the established chain of command. Schedule will include every other weekend and rotating holidays.
EDUCATION:
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey * Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field required. * Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum of three (3) years as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting required. * Previous managerial/progressive supervisory experience preferred.
