Company Overview
Since 1892 when we opened our doors in a room at the corner of Chestnut Street and Great Plain Avenue, much has changed – both at the Bank and in our local community. But one thing has remained the same – our long-term commitment to our customers through personalized service, competitive products, and deep community involvement.

We are ever mindful that our customers have choices when it comes to banking and that our success is directly tied to exceeding our customers’ expectations. That’s why we prefer to offer straight-forward banking solutions which avoid fees and build long term, mutually beneficial relationships.

Customers new and old have responded positively to a number of the initiatives we have designed to make banking a more pleasant experience, which has led to tremendous growth across all areas of the Bank. Historically, our expansion has been fueled through mergers but over the past few years, our most powerful acquisition tool has become personal recommendations from our customers.

Our growth has continued literally and figuratively through openings of new banking centers in Dover, Ashland, Millis, and Natick as well as with the additions of a new loan center and an operations center to our main campus in Needham. In the past year alone, our deposits have increased by $77 million to reside at just under $1.5 billion with our assets now eclipsing $1.975 billion as of year end 2016.

With the addition of these new offices, we stand by our commitment to serving our communities far beyond writing a donation check. Our employees can oftentimes be found contributing their time and talents outside of our service hours, and at the end of the day they are our greatest asset – their knowledge, experience, and willingness to go the extra mile on behalf of our customers is what makes Needham Bank a very special place.

We pride ourselves on participating in communities in the full sense of the word, and believe that when local residents choose to bank with us, we are creating a virtuous circle. The dollars deposited at Needham Bank are used to finance local building, home-buying, small businesses, retirement savings and all manner of other activities, and in turn, the bank donates both money and volunteer time – again in the local community.

Come experience the best of all worlds; big bank-like products and private bank levels of service built upon the foundation of community bank values.

Welcome to Needham Bank, the evolution of community banking.
