The Chief Technology Risk Officer ("CTRO") team forms part of the Technology Risk Management ("TRM") organization at BNY Mellon. The overall mission of Technology Risk Management is to partner with the business to enable technology business solutions while protecting BNY Mellon from technology risks in a balanced control environment. TRM is part of BNY Mellon's second line of defense, aligned to the Risk and Compliance function of the bank.
As a Principal in the TRM CTRO team, your role will be to support and enhance the current technology risk oversight across specific lines of business, influence risk management decision making, identify, agree and report top technology risks and monitor risk remediation.
In addition, your role will be to source, manipulate and analyze data to develop and publish meaningful information on technology and information risks, for key stakeholders throughout BNY Mellon. You will analyze these data on an on-going basis to provide a credible challenge to those in the first line of defense to help ensure risks are fully recognized, understood, and being managed in an appropriate manner.
Your analysis will help provide the independent oversight and monitoring that stakeholders rely on TRM to supply, adding value and providing ongoing insight to increase stakeholder knowledge and awareness, and enable better risk management and decision making at a senior level within BNY Mellon.
You will report to the Chief Technology Risk Officer for the relevant line of business.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 10-12 years of total work experience preferred. Experience in Technology, Information Security and/or technology risk preferred. Knowledge of security systems and applications preferred. At least one security clearance preferred.
