OVERVIEW:

Stamps.com Endicia is looking for a talented Field Sales Representative who is excited to grow their eCommerce space career. This person will join a growing team of Strategic Field Sales Representatives fundamental to the company's ongoing success to help grow stamps.com family of brands client base through a comprehensive, value-based selling process in the Northeastern USA. This position works remote and the optimal locations are the greater NY City area, Boston, MA, other locations in Northeast considered based on skills and experience.

THE TEAM:

The Field Sales team is a growing and highly experienced team of individuals that drive new business acquisition within an assigned area. The team prospects and manages various lead channels and uses our suite of industry leading shipping technologies and partner solutions to close the sale. Field Sales representatives work with e-commerce shippers of all sizes ensuring optimal solution and carrier service usage.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prospecting new clients.
  2. Deliver product value proposition.
  3. Develop and maintain channel partner relationships.
  4. Close new business.
  5. Regional/Territory strategy planning to drive revenue.

Essential Position Duties (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks):

Prospecting new clients

  • Develop lead lists
  • Cold call prospective clients via, telephone, email, and other outreach activities.
  • Overcome customer objections.
  • Respond to phone and e-mail inquiries in a timely, efficient and professional manner
  • Generate sales territory activity tracking, sales forecasts, and other business data reports.
  • Provide basic installation/integration guidance and training for new customers

Deliver product/solution value proposition.

  • Use a customer-focused, consultative sales process to educate prospects on what products/services will best fit their needs.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge on the features and business application of the company's product line
  • Attend trade shows and perform marketing tasks as needed

Develop and maintain channel partner relationships.

  • Owning channel partner relationships
  • Provide training and ongoing support to USPS and channel partner sales representatives on Endicia's products and services

Close new business.

  • Travel to client sites, meet with decision makers, and solicit orders.
  • Follow up with customers throughout the sales process and periodically after implementation.

Regional/Territory strategy planning to drive revenue.

  • Identify business targets, required resources and activities required to retire sales quota.

Performs other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • Two to Four (2-4) years' experience in field B2B sales (E-commerce a plus!)
  • Role requires a valid driver's license and proof of car insurance.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong prospecting and lead generation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to quickly build effective relationships
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Highly professional
  • Must be detail and action oriented
  • Ability to learn quickly and to understand/ explain information of a technical nature
  • Ability to decide priorities in a rapidly changing commercial environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate products and match their advantages to customer needs
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment

Computer/Software/Application Proficiency:

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Outlook and Excel.
  • CRM experience a plus.

Travel Requirements:

  • 50%+ travel within assigned territory is required.
