The Markets Data Partner team sits within the IB Chief Data Office and is primarily responsible for meeting and remaining in compliance, with multiple Group / BI Data Office standards. In 2019, the primary area of focus will be on documenting the lineage and controls that underpin the production of the key reports / calculators that are accepted in scope for Markets and allocated to be executed out of London
We are in need of a Data Partner who will work with the senior data partner run effective interviews/workshops that captures subject matter knowledge about how data flows operate and where controls exist. He or She must build subject matter expertise to be trusted and relied on by the both SMEs in the Markets business and IT organization as well as other CDO organizations that have touch points with Markets.
*Maintain and enhance the Meta Data standard and the related information in Barclay's Data Portal for the Markets domains
*Maintain and enhance the Data lineage and the related information in Ab-Initio for the Markets domains
*Develop a strong understanding of the Barclays Data Policies and Standards, and contribute to their ongoing development
*Ensure the requirements of the IB are supported in all future iterations
*Promote education in Data Governance within the IB - design creative training materials and ensure effective dissemination (including in person training events)
*5 years of Investment Banking industry experience, or engaging those businesses as part of a market leading consultancy
*A college degree in analytical or data driven discipline (Engineering, Physical Sciences, Finance, Information Technology). MBA or other advanced degree preferred as well
*In-depth experience of Markets domain
*A proven track record of building strong and effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
*Previous experience working on Database solutions
*Previous experience in Data Management consulting roles, Enterprise Data
