The Contact Center is looking for an VP Cloud Architect in our Whippany, NJ campus. The Contact Center Transaction Cycle is responsible for proving technical solutions to support the Contact Center operations globally.
As a member of the Customer Contact team you will be joining a dynamic group that look after the end to end delivery of technology across the entire Barclays Contact Center estate. We architect, build, develop and release software and infrastructure for core voice platforms, Dialer, WFM/QM, Call recording speech analytics and Voice Biometrics and IVR applications and other customer interaction channels (e.g. Chat, Video) to give our customers and agents a consistent cross channel experience.

What will you be doing?


Providing solutions architecture and design for customer contact channels including telephony, web chat, video and supporting services.
*Production of architectural visions and end-to-end designs for Contact Center solutions
*Co-ordination of impact assessment activities for proposed solutions
*Be the steward for one or more capabilities/technologies, setting ongoing roadmap and direction for them ensuring all components remaining in support of Bank standards.
*Project governance in terms of conforming to architectural standards and strategy

What we're looking for:


*8 years' experience in real world architecture with significant practical experience of defining enterprise wide technical solutions, documenting them and driving them to delivery
*8 years' experience with an application background, including Java/Java Enterprise experience and ecosystem, as well as an understanding of API architecture, including RAML, SOAP etc.
*3-5 years of experience of hands on experience architecting solutions in AWS or other cloud technologies
*1 years of hands on experience with Amazon Connect

Skills that will help you in the role:


*Knowledge of contact center technologies including inbound and outbound telephony, IVR, web chat, email handling, and voice biometrics is desirable but not essential
*Competence in the execution of substantial IT delivery programs from inception through delivery
*Solution architect and enterprise architect training and certification, e.g. TOGAF or BCS
*Knowledge of open communication standards such as SIP and WebRTC
*Knowledge and experience of open source projects including those related to contact centers
*Experience with product selection processes (RFPs, RFIs)
