Sony R&D Center US, located in San Jose, CA is seeking a creative individual to join our newly created R&D team. Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
Strong research background and demonstrated record of innovation in the area of electromagnetic field simulation and diffractive optical design software.
Familiarity with Python and C/C++
Familiarity with RCWA theory and coding
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally on occasion.
All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.
Experience and research track record in diffraction optics design and simulation
Experience working with GUI toolkits like GTK/Qt/wxWidgets or equivalent
Experience with OpenGL, graphics, and 3D visualization
Familiarity with Matlab for rapid algorithm prototyping.
Five or more years of related professional experience
